This popualtion of Sandhill Cranes migrates to wintering areas in south and west Texas, New Mexico, and central and north Mexico. They concentrate briefly at many stopover areas during spring and fall migration. Many stop for up to 6 weeks in spring in the North Platte and Platte River valleys of Nebraska. Chukotka, Russia.
